"Vinegar Tom" 11" x 17" Glossy Print (5 in stock)
About the Design ~
“Vinegar Tom” was drawn from the confessions of accused witch, Elizabeth Clarke, in 1645. She claimed that a long-legged Greyhound with an ox’s head, along with several other magical creatures, assisted her in her evil deeds. Matthew Hopkins, also known as “Witchfinder General”, collected many of these fabricated
confessions through means of sleep and food deprivation.
